Where foals become horses.
Anyone that has anything to do with horses knows how important a well balanced upbringing is.Not only the Character and Nerve Strength are positively influenced by growing up in a herd atmosphere. Also the growth of the bones, tendons and breathing organs are decided by the sun, air and movement. Originally it was planned to let the horses grow up in Gomadingen, and then to relocate them to Ebersbach for training and marketing. We saw that this was not possible.
We found partners that have specialized in the upbringing of foals: Summer on the fields and in Winter daily runs outside in groups. Including 24 hour care.
Brought in from the fields, the horses are carefully ridden in, accordingly to their stage of maturity, at the Stud farms riding center. As 3-4 yr. olds the horses are introduced to the horse show atmosphere in the simple young horse classes. After turning 5 yrs. old and sometimes at 6 yrs. old the horses continue with the learning classes in either Dressage or Jumping. Before the horses are ridden in, the young horses are examined by a horse dentist and a physiotherapist. This allows us to make sure of the physical well-being of the horses.
It takes some time for the horses to get used to being in their own boxes, and their work schedule, in the stables after living in the paddock and herd environment. There are many options when it comes to riding the horses in. We have had good results with our work in the longe hall before the actually riding. The horses have a natural barrier around them and quickly become used to the line of the circle which makes learning to longe much easier.
The horses are then ridden in in the riding hall where there is more place, and therefore more safety for the rider.
By changing the horses daily routine with free-run, free-jumping, longing, walking machine and paddock or field time, we keep our horses happy and boost their desire to work.
All our horses are taught the basics through the classic riding style methods and are therefore easy for anyone to ride after.
